Welcome to Lescale Furnishings 

Lescale Furnishings is a small family business run by me, Vanessa Thompson.  

My business began after the birth of my third son.  I was looking for cot bedding and furnishings that were stylish and practical and something a bit different.  When I couldn’t find what I wanted, I decided to put my sewing machines to good use and make them myself so I enrolled on several Soft Furnishings Courses which also incorporated my previous studies in textiles. 

Very soon after, orders arrived from friends who also wanted stylish baby bedding.  Since then people have been back to me to make curtains and blinds to finish the baby’s bedroom and then the rest of the house. 

Five years on, I now offer a full make and design service on a wide variety of blinds, curtains, cushions, bedding, in fact anything you could wish for in the world of soft furnishings.  Please check out the product pages of this site for more information.  I also stock a wide variety of accessories. 

I like to use suppliers of fabrics that use warm colours to counter-balance the English weather and light.  I am also passionate about the “traditional” English cosy look which suits many of the houses in the surrounding areas of Suffolk where I live. 

Finally, I would like to thank you for choosing me to help you furnish your home.  Our making service may take a little longer than a high street chain store but our Customer Service and attention to detail will hopefully ensure that your curtains, blinds or nursery bedding are worth the wait.
